Our Aircraft
All our aircraft are meticulously maintained with our Tiger Moths being fully restored to as new condition. Both our Tiger Moths served in the RAAF in WWII for pilot training. The CT4 Airtrainer was sold by the RAAF in 1993 and underwent a major upgrade process over several years to bring it up to Charter category standard while maintaining the original RAAF instrumentation and colour scheme. In fact, Garry Herne flew this aircraft several times while on RAAF pilots course in the mid 80s.The Yak 52 is a 1991 model built for the Russian Air Force, making it one of the newest Yaks in Australia, Due to the collapse of the Soviet Union this aircraft was placed in storage straight after manufacture until 1997 when it was imported to Australia. This aircraft carries its original colour scheme and is complete with Russian instrumentation and radios. The Yak 52 is now operating from Ballina Byron Gateway Airport and if you are visiting that area and want to fly the Yak 52 please see byronairadventures.com.au.
